Hotel Location

Redwood Hollow is a registered San Diego Historic Site consisting of a total of eleven cottages and duplex homes in a random garden setting. Eight cottages are now operated as a small hotel, and three are private residences. Most of the furnished cottages include a kitchen, queen-sized or king-sized bed in the bedroom(s) and a sleep sofa in the living or sitting area. The units range from studios, one bedroom, up to two bedroom, two bath cottages. Six of the units have fireplaces, and six are lined with redwood or cedar. The architecture is in the craftsman and mountain style cottage, which was popular at Southern California beach resorts early in the twentieth century. The historical designation was given because of the setting and the beach lifestyle vacation rentals in years past.
